I recently got a new phone. In October 2013, I made the one time payment to unlock the app. Over the years, when I got a new device, I could go to the activation screen and have it restore my purchase, then it would work. Now, I don’t see an option to restore my purchase. It wants me to pay 4.99 again. How can I restore my Android purchase on this version of the app?

Just to double-check… you’re using the same Android app store (e.g. Google’s Play Store) and the same Google Account that made the previous purchase (back in 2013)?
On the activation screen, which comes up after 1 min playback or via the menu on the top right of home screen, at the bottom is the option to tap to restore.
That is what I am used to seeing, but my screen is missing the text at the bottom with the link to restore the purchase.
My screen looks like the attached picture.
I side loaded it. It is funny… When I open the activation screen the first time, the text for restoring the purchase is there for a very short second… It then disappears. It was very very brief.
I uninstalled and reinstalled again. I then started screen recording to show what it is doing and it kept the link to restore the purchase this time. It is working now. Not sure what was going on or why that part to restore would disappear, but all it good now.
