Now that HVEC encoding is embedded in Plex, the options for optimizing and streaming(transcoding) media feel outdated
Especially for 1080p → the minimum option is 8mbs but with HVEC encoding 6mbs provides the roughly same quality.
And same principle for other resolutions/bitrates
Some additional options that leverage the increased quality at lower bitrates of HEVC compared to 264 would be much appreciated.
For many users Storage and Compute are not bottlenecks, but upload-bandwith is.
