Ripped FLAC matches album lookup, does not update song titles

I think the title says it all, but…

So I have some DVD-A discs (I’m probably the only one!) that I’ve ripped to FLAC. When I add them to my server and do a “Match,” it finds the album(s), downloads the artwork and “Summary” info, but does not update the titles or track numbers (in the server, the tracks start at track 0) of the songs, even though the match info shows the track titles. Then, even after using MP3Tag, Plex looks like it’s using the file name for each track, instead of the track name I entered in the tagger.

Any advice appreciated! (Yes, I know I can edit these in Plex song-by-song. Sounds boring!)

It sounds like there may be something about your tags that is confusing Plex. One thing is to make sure the Album Artist tag is not blank, and is identical for every track on the album. Beyond that, make sure Plex is configured correctly and your tags are accurate. This guide can help with that:

Ugh, yeah…I had to do this with another ripped DVD-A title:

Music/ArtistName/AlbumName/TrackNumber - TrackName.ext

It’s the file name. I was really hoping to avoid editing every single track. Oh, well…
