My girlfriend’s family all have roku premiers that they use to access my server. For Christmas her parents decided to give her grandparents a couple of rokus for their house and asked if I could set up my Plex server on there for them. No matter what I do, the server is listed as unavailable. All of their rokus, my devices, and other friends and families devices are functioning flawlessly as we speak but for whatever reason it refuses to show up on 2 different new rokus. I have enabled allow insecure connections within the Plex app on the rokus, restarted my computer that the server runs on, made sure insecure connections are allowed from the server side, and restarted the server itself multiple times. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you checked their network?
(a) how are they accessing your server – e.g. WIFI or wired?
(b) any restrictions on their router or ISP?
I failed to mention I actually set them up on her parents network which is where 4 other Roku devices are working fine. They are in the process as we speak of installing internet at her grandparents. I will test it on their network once it gets installed.
