I am using a Roku 3 to access my PMS running the latest 1.8.1 release on a Fedora 26 Linux machine.
After recently reinstalling the OS and PMS on my server, my Roku started showing the following message when playing most content (some videos still work):
“Not enough bandwidth for any playback of this item. Cannot convert to below minimum bandwidth of 103kbps. Neither direct play not conversion is available.”
I can coerce the videos into playing by forcing Direct Stream on the Roku side but then audio doesn’t work for most of my content because Roku doesn’t support the codec without transcoding.
Playing the same videos from other devices like Android phones or via the PMS web interface works fine.
Is posting here the best way to seek resolution of the problem? What should I be trying to further debug the issue? What info can I provide to help the investigation along?
