I’m experiencing an internet outage the last few days and am using the Roku Plex connected to my server locally. While this works, it is annoyingly slow to do things. It seems like before it does anything, it attempts to access the internet and times out before it does it. Something like 30 seconds.
This happens for example when I start to play any media. It will sit there doing nothing for about 30 seconds before it starts the progress spinner that shows the buffering %.
It’s also very surprising that the Home screen is not functional when offline. I don’t see why this screen needs to have any network access. All the information it needs should be available on my local server.
