[Roku Preview] Minor feedback about hovering on an item

Noticed that in the preview that when you hover on an item, the item not gets bigger as well as having an orange border (whereas in the official app it’s just the orange border). Not a huge fan of it getting bigger. To me it doesn’t seem as smooth and I think the orange border is sufficient to indicate the current item.

This is super minor feedback but just something I noticed and wanted to give my thoughts on.

I noticed it too but it was something that was brought up as a want from the users who had trouble reading or identifying the content with slightly bad vision. There are some users who want Plex to be useful for those with visual impairment so I understand why. It’s not too much of a bother. Plex devs really should have a Appearance section in the Settings menu where a lot of this can be turned on or off for those who need these visual aides. Roku already has similar settings in their own menu.

That makes sense, didn’t think about that. I think it being bigger is fine, but maybe the transition could be a little better. Not exactly sure what to change but as it is it seems a little jarring to me.

I am one of the people that asked for a more visable indication of the highlighted object.
Personally a thicker border or black on orange text would have been easier to see than the expanding poster but I do appreciate that they did something.
I agree, having this as a setting would be nice. Something like the option of having a black background.

Well, we’ve got the poster that tells us what the show is, and we’ve got the text crawl that tells us what the show is, but we don’t have the episode name or the run time - the two things we used to see easily in the ‘last good Plex app for Roku’.

I wonder if there’s anything we can do about that, or is it just another thing we’ll have to get used to?
