Hi all. We have finally been able to reproduce this consistently. We have identified the cause and the good news is that we should have a workaround in the client coming to the preview app by next week. The workaround will cause a short rebuffer when you would have normally experience the early ending. We’ll be investigating a proper fix, which will most likely entail some server changes.

Did this get done? Having same issue on Roku devices with QNAP plex server. What version of the Plex client should wee see on Roku? Mine is 6.6.12.6662
The update is not released yet. I’ll update this thread when we have something, but you can also watch the Roku Release thread.
We have published a preview release, v6.7.0 with the client workaround.

@ChuckPa @ljunkie Thanks for your help with this. Glad you identified the issue, were able to reproduce it and found a workaround for now. Looking forward to the server side implementation at some point down the road.
To note, I have not seen the issue on Preview 6.7.

Still happening to me.
Hi I have been having this problem recently. Watching TV shows on wifi in an android device and consists tly at the last minute of the episode it stutters for 2 seconds and then the stream stops. My plex server can handle much more normally so I do not think that it is struggling cpu wise. I have most recent plex app and server version. Anyone have a fix? Thanks!
