Player Version#: Roku Ultra
I’ve been running Plex for years on this server without much issue. In the last few weeks, maybe a month, a remote user on a Roku Ultra has experienced buffering or pausing / starting of video every minute or so. I’ve tried all the settings I can think of, but it doesn’t change the experience. The same user, at the same location, has no issue streaming to his iPhone.
My internet is Gigabit Fiber, up and down. When this happens, I can see he’s streaming 1080p h264 video direct play, transcoding Audio. In the verbose logging, I see that “speec =>” is up in the 20s or teens, so plenty fast transcoding.
I also have a Roku Ultra at home, and when I stream it’s direct play audio and video.
