Roku update brings On Demand and Discover

The last update just added something I want to get rid of. In my server settings I have disabled On Demand and Discover. Now, the things are up top and there is no way to disable them. They should be disabled in the app since they are disabled in my settings. That is how it used to be. Is this a bug, or another forced feature that isin’t wanted?

Have you tried enabling them and then disabling them again? (edit: saving after each change)

@dalamar666 can you exit the app then hover over the app and use the * button on the Plex channel and select Restart app, if it’s available. If Restart app is not available just open the app again. We have noticed that upon initial start up that these opt-out settings are not being respected. A simple restart of the app should fix it.

@Kilgry, I did try that and nothing.

@Atomatth There is not an option to restart the app with the * menu from the home screen. I did exit and restart the app when I noticed it and that did not work. I did reboot the device and then when I opened the app it was gone, thank you!

For future reference, in the app’s advanced settings (Settings -> Advanced) there’s an option to “Reset Cache.” Selecting this would have resolved the problem as well.

@Pshanew Thank you for the suggestion. From the menu screen for the app I have move, remove, check for updates and close.

Edit: I checked the settings, advanced in the app and my options are Allow secure connections, Server discovery, Logging and AAC stutter workaround. I think Plex removed some settings with the recent update.

I have to apologize. In my haste, I failed to verify that this particular option exists on Roku devices (as it does for the other new experience apps). Please disregard my suggestion as it isn’t relevant on Roku. Ugh.

Oh dude, it is all good.
