This Roku update is horrible to the point I would like to try something new. Suggestions? If you use Plex on your computer nothing has changed. This Roku version sucks and is not user friendly at all. Did they totally forget a good part of their following uses it to link with their computer? Did they try this with groups before launch?
- We lost playlist from being a quick access tab to scrolling through multiple screens to find them. Totally takes away the use of my music library. Why don’t you offer Plex Amp like you have on the Android on the Roku to resolve this? Still would like everything under one platform. To use a playlist that took hours to make is now wasted time.
- When you look for movies actors and what else they stared in, it ignores if it is in your library to watch. Funneling to their website to watch it with commercials. Before if I didn’t have the movie this was a great option. Now I’m so annoyed I watch it somewhere else without the commercials.
- You could access your personal library when you go on an artist or actor from screens tied to it. Go directly in.
- You were able to keep your tab up for your libraries. Now you have to go through Plex suggestions and multiple click through crap to get to your movies. Annoying.
- The tab across the top go against the normal set ups for any app. There is a reason for this. People like normalization of things.
Just a horrible upgrade and snub to people who have been around since the beginning. People took a chance and paid for a lifetime pass to allow them the money to grow the platform. Then make a huge functional change. Do you think your going to compete with Apple, Netflix, Disney or Paramount? You had a chance with your base telling people to use your product.
