I can’t even get to my settings without 5 key presses!
Hey instead of moving up and down between menus, now you have to hit the back button to go to the top the screen, but only part of that menu. If you need to get to a sub menu, better pray you’ve got a lot of patience.
I don’t want to Discover.
I don’t want to see what’s on Demand.
I don’t want to have more clicks to get where I used to go in 1 movement of the remote.
AND there was no walk through of the new “navigation.” Sure, we’ll call it that.
I have to fully agree. they have made it almost completely unusable. Why would anyone completely destroy the app like this. I hope that there is a way to reverse this garbage because I really don’t know anyone that would find this remotely acceptable.
+1, or +1000. The new interface subordinates access to Music (plus stored Movies + TV) under a single Libraries tab … AND, crucially, has done away with the ability to customize/pin specific sources.
So basically, a big cut in functionality for anyone who uses own-server media and not service streaming, with no upside.
p.s. bring back customization/pinning for the main nav and that should resolve it. (moving the nav from left to top strikes me as lousy UX but that’s another story for another day.)
why flip the horizontal and vertical tabs? I guess youcannot leave a great interface alone. you must feel that you must justify your job position by creating an completely screwed up interface!
I guess you NEVER considered how this might affect the older generation that can barely navigate the old interface yet alone this really screwed up one.

I cannot believe the Plex app has changed this much.
The only thing I can think is that they are attempting lock down something for advertising, or some other revenue generator.

Not on my Roku box. I can’t even navigate to the 3 dots to modify anything. And it still takes more clicks to get to something than before which is not a win.
Absolutely horrible UI. Cannot switch libraries without a ton of (what should) unnecessary moves. Roku UI is attrocious. Cannot find things easily. Now I have to side scroll instead of seeing exactly where my desired library is.
STOP CHANGING UI JUST TO CHANGE THINGS. Fresh is stupid. Take it back to what it was.
Holy ■■■■ this is terrible, how can we down grade to the prior working version of Plex app on Roku cause this is not even workable. My kids can’t find their stuff, this whole UI is trash. I don’t believe I’ve seen a worse launch of something.
Is there a way to put the prior version on the Roku app store for people who are not wanting this trash?
BS… WTF is this IGNORANT BS.. Roku tv keeps resetting the tv… The other ROKUS only 1 works.. and can’t find anything… PLEX really is SCREWING the customer over and over
Coming here specifically to add my name to the list of VERY unhappy Plex Roku users. The interface change is complete garbage. If you’re going to change a UI that everyone is used to, give us the option to keep it the way we had it/like it. PUT IT BACK!
From what I’m seeing in your posts, most of you seem to have access to at least some of your media, right? My Plex app keeps saying it can’t find my server, even though the server is running. I can access the media through the server’s app, but my Roku Plex apps claim my Plex app doesn’t exist. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
