Running plex MS on Vero 4K+?

It looks like the transcoding issue might be to do with storage space, or rather lack of it, on the Vero. I noticed mention of it in the thread referenced above and it seems they overcame it by using a different temp directory on a USB drive.

I did find the instructions for installing PMS on armhf (arm64) Debian / Ubuntu / Raspberry Pi which I might try when the wife is out for an evening. It looks like something I could manage, I have previously gotten PMS working on a Western Digital My Passport Wireless USB drive, the Vero should be a lot more appropriate. The instructions are here

The Vero 4K+ is a really well conceived bit of kit. It works really well with plenty of excellent features and great support - I can even use my LG TV remote for most of the everyday functions thanks to HDMI-CEC built-in. It picked up my HDHomeRun box without me doing anything and stuff like pic quality and streaming are excellent. Coupled with PlexKodiConnect (PKC) I can stream from my current Plex server through Kodi, and again that all just works mostly. The only issue I have really is encouraging the wife to use it, try as I might she still prefers the Plex client on the TV and, now, she also wants some Amazon Alexa involvement. Unfortunately Kodi and Alexa are harder to get playing together than Plex and Alexa, so I got to wondering and ended up here …
