Same movie, different language in different libraries -> metadata is synced (should not)

I have separate libraries for children’s movies (which are mostly local language) and ‘regular’ movies (which are mostly in the movie’s original language). However, once I watch a movie myself in the original language they are also set as watched in the children’s library. (same applies to tv shows as well)
How can I change plex’s behaviour so that both are independent? I put them in different libraries for a reason…

They are considered as the same movie, regardless of the language.

For your kids to have their own “watched” status in Plex, you should consider creating one or several “managed user” accounts.
