Same Movie listed two times in library

I just switched from Synology to a Qnap NAS. When i add my movies to Plex it listed all movie 2 times.
One time with the year of the movie and one time it is just listed instead of the year with"1 movie" .
At the Synology NAS this don’t happen.

Server Version#: 3.77.4

I am using a Synology DS918 and occasionally have the same problem when uploading. What it is doing in my case is creating both a movie and a Collection with one movie. Doesn’t make sense but it does.

So after I add multiple movies I just go into Collections and clean up the ones that shouldn’t be there and everything is fine. A little annoying but only takes a second. I haven’t had time to deal with it and with support.

Read about Collections here:

Ah yeah thats why the 2th is a Collection with one movie. But why it is doing this and how can i stop this? Now i have 132 Collection with one movies

You probably configured your library to automatically download collection information from TheMovieDb.org (advanced library settings) or use mp4/m4v files with embedded metadata (Plex could be interpreting the album tag as collection name).

For #1, simply uncheck the box in the library settings.

You mean the box (Use collection info from The Movie Database ) it is unchecked.

Well… that’ll stop plex from downloading collection info for new media.
You’ll need to remove the ones already created manually.

The link shared by Dane includes information on how to delete available collections or to customize how they’re being displayed in your library (or not)

Ok Thanks. But the box was unchecked before i add my library and still listed it 2 times. i had to remove now over 600 “collections” super annoying.
