Came across this topic when searching for fixes on my Samsung TV app which seemed to break a month or so ago - slightly different issue (but not sure if it’s the same cause?) in that some TV Shows work fine, but others just won’t play - black screen, no sign of buffering but sticks on 00:00 and no ‘playback error’ warning.
More than happy to provide logs if it helps, but I’m already running ‘Plex for Samsung’ Version 5.93.2 and PMS Version 1.41.9.9961 so not sure if more fixes are needed?
Please help as this is the main TV in the house where we consume Plex!

@neil_mac In you message to me with logs you mentioned you had a old computer you had an old server and saw it mentioned in the logs.
I see it as well in the lines referencing the photo transcoder path. I’m not a Windows user so forgive me if I am incorrect but it seems to suggest based on the path that the old computer name is being used as a username on whatever computer you currently have it installed on.
When you set up your new computer did you copy plex files from one old one to new one to transfer the server? ( or clone the whole computer Did you possibly change move the directory the transcoder uses on old computer when you used it? I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it. ( again not a WIndows expert) just wanted to check. Are you running server as administrator or anything like that?
This issue has not yet been resolved for me either. I’d like to know who I can reach out to for assistance, happy to DM logs.
Can we get your smart tv logs right after a failure so i can pass them along to dev team
@neil_mac again thanks for logs. I also just wanted to ask if you have tried completely power cycling your TV. I mean unplug it and plug it back in.
@BigWheel thanks again for the swift reply. Regarding power cycling the TV, yes I’ve done that a few times as well as refreshing/uninstalling/reinstalling the app but still have issues with some TV Shows - it might even be season specific as I watched 2 seasons of a show but 3rd season won’t play?!
Regarding the old PC, the motherboard died so I just installed the hard drive into the new PC and as it’s been playing everything fine for a good year or 2 (until a month or so ago), I’m not sure why it would cause an issue just for some shows/seasons? I’m no expert either (Windows or Plex!!) but the quick look I had at the log, it only seemed to show the old PC name in app caches folders rather than usernames etc, but it was a quick glance! Do you need more logs &/or for me to check more thoroughly?

No the one you gave is fine. I could not find anything different from the other folks logs so will have to wait for devs to take a look.

I moved it back here. I realized i read something wrong and it does seem to be the same symptoms. it might be some other cause but I will wait to see what devs say.
Plex is absolutely unusable on our Samsung Frame QA50LS03B (2023) with the latest OS update 1661 installed.
The Plex for Samsung app is 5.93.2
The Plex Server is running 1.41.9.9961 on a fully up-to-date Windows Server 2019 install.
All file formats appear to be affected.
Other clients, both local and remote, are streaming without issue - be it direct or transcode.
Plenty of bandwidth. Issue persists via WiFi and Ethernet.
Streaming to the same TV via Apple AirPlay is faultless - absolutely not a bandwidth or server issue, this is entirely an App issue on the Frame.
Please advise what logs or other details you need from me to assist in a resolution.

I know they took a start but it is weird initial fix did not help some of you. When i find out any more info I will let you know. unfortunately i do not have an ETA
I have had a similar problem since 5.92.x where randomly transcoded content will crash saying that media type is not supported usally after playing for 2-20 minutes

Hey @BigWheel @Moussa - we’re one month on from the initial ticket on this issue. I’ve sent you both my logs via DM. is there any update on this problem? Is the dev team aware?
This does not look like the same cause as initial issue as far as we can tell and are looking into it.
The initial issue that was fix would have affected all playback but if some things are working like @neil_mac mentioned then it is something else.
If anyone that is still having issues can provide smart tv logs if you have not already it would be appreciated.
