Samsung Q90 not playing mp4 HEVC file

Plex server is up to date. The file itself direct streams all good to the plex media player on windows but doesnt seem to work on the samsung Q90. 1080p MKVs seem to work.
Plex Media Server Logs_2021-03-13_02-06-06.zip (2.5 MB)
This is a HEVC 10bit EAC3 file.

Judging by the logs there seems to be an issue whereby the generic profile is telling the rpi/plex server there is no mp4/hevc profile and it is then trying to transcode video even though its turned off?

Actually it looks like it did try to direct play the file but it failed so it tried to transcode the audio. It’s not touching the video. Turning off the video transcode does not stop the audio from being transcoded. However, PMS wasn’t able to create the files needed to transcode. Do you have a valid transcode folder?

the plex is run from a docker image but the config files are on the hardrive. IT seems to be able to transcode other eac3 to aac just fine. Im still unsure why it even needs to transcode the audio when the tv supports eac3?

i just played a differnent file and the transcode folder is work ok. can see it making the m4a files and deleting them after

I tried the same file on my laptop and it works ok. So seems to be an issue with the RPI. Strange ???

Plex does not officially support the Pi. It just sort of works. But then again, it may not.
