A lot of videos will not play on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), but they work on my Moto g(9) plus. All the app settings are the same.
I just get a thumbnail of the show and a spinning wheel on the tablet.
Is there a possibility that Plex can’t transcode these files for the tablet? Which logs should I be looking in?
I’m having the same issue, server is on windows 10 machine, has been running solid for years. Galaxy Tab 8.4 anything that requires transcoding won’t start. If I go to the playback settings of the video while the spinning wheel is going and select automatically convert, it plays at 1080p 6 Mbps. If I try to manually set the max quality in the app settings, the ONLY one that works is 720p 2mbps but the picture quality is junk. I have tried every combo of settings in the app.
I feel like the server just isn’t getting the right profile for the android tablets. How do we manually change that? Is there a text file somewhere?
Optimized versions is also a workaround.
Please recreate the problem and get me the server logs and the android logs.
It seems I just deleted the last files I had with the issue…
