Samsung TV app not allowing me to login

Hi Folks,

I have installed Plex on my Synology NAS and I can access it OK from iOS devices (testing so far). I have just installed the Plex app on my Samsung Smart TV but when run it displays…

Connect to Plex

Open a browser on your PC, surf to
Link | Plex and enter this code

Unfortunately, four grey boxes are displayed beneath but all are empty i.e. there is no code?

Can anyone please advise?

Thanks @dane22 - I can see the problem but I don’t want to patch my daughters TV. I would be happy to do my own but knowing my luck I will end up having to buy them a new TV!

@paddy_coleman13_gmail_com i can totally understand your hesitation :wink:

If your TV is an E, F or H-Series (double check that!), then this is a rather simple process of installing a newer version of the Plex-Application from Orca and running a separate program on another device.

Your other Option is to only use the local-connection for your plex-app, see the above thread how to do that. In that case no installation whatsoever is needed.

You may buy them a nVidia Shield Pro instead. It’s a cheaper option, particularly if the picture quality of the TV is still satisfactory.
