I have a Samsung TV of the 6500 class. It worked preveosly, but after a lot of screwing around, it doesn’t work any more. My PC’s work and so does my Visio TV.
When I select the Plex logo on the Samsung TV, the logo sits in the middle of the screen and some dots spin underneth it. This goes on for awhile then closes and we are back to the main screen where we started.
Does anyone know what happened and how to fix?

Can you describe the “screwing around?”
I was having trouble getting to claim server. There were stop and starts of PMS. Reloads of Plex and Plex for Windows and a lot of snuping around logs, Linux, and logons and passwords. General troubleshooting, where ever a posting led to.
Sounds like a Samsung TV issue, try updating or factory resetting the TV from the settings then redownloading the Plex app. You can also hold the return button to clear open apps running in background or holding the power button will restart the TV much like a computer, you could try those first.
OK problem solved, I reset the the Smart Hub first. Thats what did the trick. It’s up and running now.

I was having playback issues and stumbled across Samsung TV troubleshooting the other day. Glad it worked, I’m now running my Plex through my Xbox as my Samsung TV couldn’t handle the 4k and high rate 1080p movies.
