Plex App Samsung TV stuck. Not a server issue

Got weird issue today, my app wont open its just stuck at Plex logo screen.

It was working fine 2 hours ago…

Uninstalled the app, checked the network, reset the TV (completetly)…still not working (so its not a server issue since I’m not logged into the app after TV factory reset.

I can move around the app by moving and I ear sound like something is moving in the background but not seeing anything apart from the Plex Logo… Wth…

Also: at some point if I click on the center button, it flash black screen and then the logo appear again…but nothing else.

Samsung tv:

Os version: 1250
Model: UN55KU6290
Software Version: T-JZL6AKUC-1250.2

Plex app version: 5.10.0

All my other clients working fine.

Anyone else has the issue?

Same here. Samsung KS8000 Plex Client connecting to Plex Media Server 1.25.0.5246.

Was working fine yesterday last I used it. No issues from my FireTV Plex clients either.

I’m having the same issue. It just loads to the Plex screen and sits there. Doesn’t go any further. I’ve tried rebooting tv, app. nothing works.

Samsung Plex client now broken and unusable on Samsung Smart TV as of today.

I like the fact that its happening for a lot of people…that might be solved in no time!

Same issue it just started happening!!! i thought it was because i upgraded my synology server… maybe not?

Same issue with my Samsung TV. This is what I get for being a good son and giving my patents my Roku on the weekend? Now what. Please fix.

my 65 inch Samsung TV app frozen at “PLEX” screen and I have tried everything, resetting Samsung Hub, Reset the whole TV back to factory , nothing …but my 75 in Samsung the lounge is fine but its probably 2 years younger

Used an old Samsung Smart Blue Ray player, and the dam thing works (after a reset)

Hope its fixed soon

One of my user has a younger Samsung too and he doesn’t have the issue… As of now.

I have the exact same problem here. Samsung Smart TV, frozen at the Plex logo. I uninstalled and reinstalled the App. I rebooted my router. Unplugged the TV. I even rebooted PMS thinking that might be the problem. All of my other Smart TV Apps are working.

Same issue as everyone else, can access the Plex web portal on the NAS and play files through the web interface using Linux with Chrome without issues. As others have said, it’s the Samsung App, have also do the reset TV, reinstall App, and remove and install. It just sits on the Loading Screen.

For those that don’t know, and still need to access media. If you go to “Source”, you should see “Plex Media Server” listed as a connectable device. You can access media through there, but it’s more like using an attached USB Device.

After several years of no problems, I too all of a sudden and making no change, have just the Plex logo when I start the app. I updated the server and reinstalled the app but still no luck.

Can anyone help me better understand?

The issue is because of the update stated above.

You’re right… Apart from restarting the app from time to time ( when glitches occurred) I didn’t get any serious issues with the plex app. Its been pretty stable and my favorite player.

Hope they will fix this under 24 hours.
