Samsung TV latest plex app - TV has older version

Hello. I see in the announcements page that tizen app 5.60.1 is out and in detailing the current issue of not loading in another thread, someone said they had a 5.59.3 version.

What I’m curious about is my TV says latest version 5.55.2(5.55.2 installed). Updated 2023/3/2.

So how do I get the latest version on my TV? Is it a time delay in plex publishing it to the local samsung server (Australia) and it will update in time? Or is something else going wrong for me?

Thank you

What version is displayed in the list of Authorized Devices?

The version installed on the TV is a bootloader, not the full app. When you launch the app it checks with plex.tv and downloads the latest version if needed.

To see what version is downloaded, look in the Plex app settings, not the app store, or in the list of Authorized Devices.

Plex usually does a staged rollout, so it may take a day or two before updates are available world wide. You can always force the issue by deleting the app from the TV and then re-installing. That will install the latest version available in your region.
