It looks like there are two issues here:

an issue related to the device not supporting TLS 1.2, which could affect some pre-Tizen models (mostly released before 2016). With a link screen that looks similar to: Samsung tv link code is mising

Issues on some Tizen Full HD models
If you’re on a pre-Tizen device the issue is with the TV software and not something we can assist with, there may be a software update that adds TLS 1.2 support available, but otherwise it will be unable to connect to our services.
If you’re on a Tizen Full HD (2016+) device with a similar issue, please see Error login LG webOS 4 and LG netCast, but the issue should now be resolved.
