Samsung tv not playing (black screen)

I have a samsung QN95B and plex works great, but my parents have an UE49NU7100. For some reason they can’t play anything (it worked in the past, but they haven’t watched in a while). They tried to remove the app and reinstall it. The samsung app store says version 5.59.3 is installed, but the app says version 5.79.0. I attached multiple logs from the server.
I notice an error everytime they start playback:

The screen stays black. I looked in the dashboard and tautulli, and it is trying to direct play (so no transcoding)
