Hi Everyone - At my wit’s end and don’t know what else to try / do.
A friend of mine hosts a media server, which we all access via the Plex app. Recently, my Samsung Smart TV (UN65KS8000) refuses to connect to the server and repeatedly says the server cannot be reached. Every single other device in my house, when logging into Plex, can reach the server - be it the Plex app on my iPhone, my PS4 Pro, my laptop, my desktop - every other single device is connecting to the server without any issue.
Steps I’ve tried:
- Signing in and out of Plex on the TV
- Resetting the app via Settings → Advanced
- Performing a hard reset of the TV
- Uninstalling the app, doing another hard reset, then reinstalling the app
- Going to Settings → Advanced → and changing the “Allow Insecure Connections” & “Prefer Insecure Connections” to Always. (they were previously set to ‘on the same network as server’)
I’m not sure where else to go here. Additionally, I can confirm with my friend who hosts the server and our other friends who access the server- nobody else is having a problem. This is only isolated to my Samsung TV.
Any tips? Thanks!
