This issue started last friday, out of the blue. Some files (it seems random but I am checking formats etc) no longer play audio through the Samsung App. I have checked the rest of the system using my PS4 Plex app and everything runs fine (video and audio through the same TV and speakers). I have checked via my IOS and desktop app and again, everything runs fine.
I have tried deleting the player, turning everything off and then reinstalling, but no change. I have searched these forums for a potential fix (disabling direct stream etc) but no change. I am currently checking files that don’t work for matching features (same file format, sound codec etc).
Has anyone else seen this or does anyone have some advice? I would try an earlier player, but that is not an option through the smart hub. No changes on the media server, but I am considering a downgrade of the system…but not just yet.

EDIT: Quick update - the files having an issue are all AAC Mono. However, they still play through the same speaker if I use a different player, so wondering if the Plex player has an issue with these files now
