Plex starts transcoding audio (to AAC) from the second track with error: “Player does not support selecting alternative audio stream”. When I start playing default audio track which is second on the audio tracks list.
Is this normal behavior that cannot be fixed or bypassed?
The only solution I found is to change the order of the audio tracks using mkvmerge..
Same problem with alternative audio stream. I think this is already fixed by Samsung, but not by Plex.
Do you have any changelog for samsung firmware?
No, but with the recently released 1420.9 (S95B) update I could see that this problem was corrected which also existed when playing an .mkv file from an HDD connected via USB, so perhaps this limitation has been corrected by Samsung.
Yeah you can play ac3 fine with any other media available
In fact, I have tested with the Emby application (similar to Plex) and the audio selection works perfectly, without transcoding.
But on plex it still doesn’t work
