I’m trying to direct download a number of my movies from the PlexWeb “Save File” dialogue (on a 1.2 gigabit upload connection), and Plex caps out the upload/download at 1.2Mbps max. I am able to jigger a workaround using jDownloader to try downloaded 20 “chunks” at once, which brings my speed up closer to 12 Mbps, but only at the expense of Plex thinking I have 20 concurrent downloads. This is entirely surprising to me, because this same plex server can stream at 25Mbps or higher, even after transcoding, and often is doing so AT THE SAME TIME as it is capping “Save File” bandwidth at 1Mbps or similar. What’s the deal?
