Says there's an update for 1.29.0.6244

Hello,
I’m running 1.29.1.6313 but a new upgrade wants me to install 1.29.0.6244…
Installation doesn’t go through, nothing gets downloaded.

What gives?

Based on the numbers you provided, you are already on a higher version than the “upgrade” (1.29.1.6313 is higher than 1.29.0.6244). Where does it say there is a new update?

(I see a new update myself, but it’s for 1.29.1.6316)

There were several similar posts yesterday.

Now that 1.29.1.6316 is public, not beta, the update notification should sort itself out.

Plex Media Server checks in with plex.tv for hosts every few hours. If you wait it should eventually list the correct update.

You can force the issue by restarting PMS. It checks for available upgrades during the startup process.

If you want to update 1.29.1.6316 now, you can also download it from https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/#plex-media-server.

Thanks, I download from website and opted for 64bit build, since I had 32 installed.
Everything is up-to-date now :slight_smile:
