I’d like to chime in to say that I’ve been experiencing the same behavior on my Synology NAS.
The problem popped up out of nowhere somewhere around a week and a half ago, probably following an update to the Plex DSM package. No settings had been changed in the network settings in Plex itself or on my router for months when this happened. Everything apart from matching movies and shows seems to be working and I can even connect to the server remotely.
Now that I’m checking, I’m actually unable to change the port setting in Remote Access settings, which now just gives me an eternal “Connecting server…”
As such, I’m not convinced this is a problem on the user’s end…
Okay, I actually managed to get it to work… Somehow!
After a lot of checking settings and permissions and that kind of thing, I tried signing the server out of the account. It did this very willingly, only for me to lose contact completely and being unable to sign back in. This had me pretty freaked, and it wasn’t until I figured out how to connect to 192.168.1.1:32400/web that I was able to sign back in.
Now there are no problems whatsoever and the server is matching movies and shows left and right like there was never anything wrong. I think the signing out and back in again is what did the trick really as nothing else was changed, unlikely as that may sound.
