After I changed some settings, which led to the fact, that Plex started the sonic analysis of most of my Tidal albums or maybe by conincidence, Plex now changes the metadata when adding TIDAL albums to the library.
For example: Aim To Head - Offender, which is first properly recognized according to the Activity Icon.
According to the notifications, items are created, the matching to Offender is done, therefore metadata for Offender is downloaded.
But then suddenly the metadata for another album called E.M.P. Eror is downloaded and processed. Which is obviously wrong.
In the logs I get the following error:
Thread: 5708
Message: [Req#1a66/Grabber/388a634a0e96036acc3c2f048eafb3b14633b838] Scanner: error reading match results
This used to work perfectly fine, before I tried to fix the no loudness graph in Tidal songs issue, I will describe afterwards.
I have switched off all agents for artists and albums, both in the Personal Media Albums and in the Last.fm tab, but this did not change the behavior.
So: What do I need to change to stop Plex from changing metadata (like artist name or album) from Tidal automatically, while still analyzing the loudness of the Tidal tracks and creating a loudness graph?
I agree. Now also full albums are imported with wrong metadata, while it way before mainly singles and I saw that randomly albums or singles I own are displayed with wrong metadata.
For example PhaseOne - Six Feet Under (Ryan Exley Remix) became suddenly became Bob Fryfogle - Six Feet Under.
Now I found the first EP imported from Tidal, for sure correctly, for which the whole metadata was replaced with something wrong.
First I saw that the artist name of 3RR0R C0D3 - Cybermetal was changed to T3RR0R 3RR0R.
Clicking on update metadate change the Album Title to T3RR0R 3RR0R - Rise My Tempo and also the track titles were updated.
Dear Plex Team, please fix this before I do not recognize my library anymore, because the whole metadata became wrong.

Update: When using the Scanner called “Plex Music Scanner” (instead of “Plex Music”), I get much better, but still not satisfying results when importing from Tidal:
With “Plex Music Scanner” around 98% of the metadate remains correct, but in 30% of the case, the release year and date is not imported.
With “Plex Music” only around 20% of the metadate remains correct.
So:
Can anyone tell, why there are two scanners?
Can anyone tell me, what happens, when I switch back to “Plex Music”? Will the scanner mess up all the metadata of the correctly imported items or will it add the release year?
Is anyone from Plex looking into this issue and trying to provide one scanner, that simply takes all the metadata from Tidal.
And just to make sure, that nobody at Plex thinks, things are pretty much working now, I will add examples, that show the opposite:
One of the scanners decided to change 35 Album Artists from Various Artists to Krafty Kuts.
I’m trying the Tidal trial and two of the Tidal albums I’ve added to plex were mismatched by plex putting them under the wrong artist. I’ve tried to fix the match using plex but Plex doesn’t find the right match making things challenging.
The albums in question are:
Hesperus / The Food of Love mismatched as Pressure Drop / Food of Love
and
Folger Consort / Sing Heigh Ho! Unto The Green Holly mismatched as Blake Mills / Heigh Ho
It is pretty sad that I have to double check music added via Tidal to make sure Plex didn’t fubar it.
