I have my 4k movies separated out into their own folder and I notice whenever I add a new 4k movie Plex is ignoring the ‘Run a partial scan when changes are detected’ and rescans every single 4k movie already in the library. This is starting to take a while as I am adding in the movies.
How do I go about diagnosing and fixing this odd behaviour - I pray I don’t have to Plex dance them!??!
For reference, this doesn’t happen when I add new tv show episodes (on occasion it will rescan the season or the show - but never the entire tv library that I have observed) or 1080p movies in the regular movies folder.
