Scanner re-running credit detection?

Hi,

Is anyone able to tell me what Plex uses as a marker in order to identify which assets have been scanned for credit detection?

I am working on a theory at the moment that if no credits are detected it is not being marked and thus being re-scanned on the next maintenance window.

Yep, again this morning the Credit Scanner has gone over an asset that it did yesterday which it is not picking up on the credits on.

I am not surprised as the credits move over the intro of the episode and it is not 100% obvious that is where the credits are.

There seem to be quite a few files that Plex cannot detect credit for… it just reruns the attempt every day during maintenance and fails every time.

It seems to be scrolling credits it struggles with.

It is really annoying it keeps trying every night to rescan the same files.

I have disabled credit scanner all together now.

It kept on going over episodes it had already scanned, causing un-necessary overhead on the server.

I don’t mind that it can not detect the credits but it needs to mark that the episodes have already been scanned.
