Credit Detection not working

I have followed the webpage
Credits Detection | Plex Support

But it still does not detect end credits

When did you enable it? By default it starts processing overnight during scheduled tasks

I haven’t touched any settings Plex did some massive maintenance around 3am the other morning, guess it was the credit detection

Same here. Its not functioning as intended. Seems to not like ā€˜Analyse’ the whole library it wont change anything but if you do it at the individual episode level it will 100% work.

Season, Show, Library level will not. XML remains unchanged for those levels.

Also have it set to do during scheduled tasks and still not working either. I’m just hoping it fixes itself in a future update.

All new shows/movies added seem to work. Just nothing already in the library unless i actually single it out.

Not alone with the issue, claynz.

it can take a long while to do if you have large libraries

If it helps you BigWheel this is the log I get at anything above season level.
[Req#e0f9b84/CreditsDetectionManager] Missing item or unexpected type

If I go at the episode level I get this
[Req#e0f9d86/CreditsDetectionManager] Found matching credits markers from media provider for part id 53466

As in previous post. It seems to be broken when triggering the analyse at anything above episode / movie level

You can only analyze episode or movie. It isn’t broken, that is how it works. I suppose you could view by episodes and multiselect, but I thought this was about it not appearing to run during scheduled tasks.

Ah! That makes sense. My misunderstanding. It is working as intended. I’ll just widen my scheduled tasks window to give it time to run through the backlog.

Cheers for clarifying.

I have just added 6 Seasons of Fame to my Plex library and straight away it started detecting Intros but not credits, I know there are credits at the end of the episodes

Two things that might help you is go to Settings > Library and where it says ā€œGenerate credits video markersā€ make sure you selected ā€œas a scheduled task and when media is addedā€.

The second thing that might help is click the 3 dots next to your TV Shows Library then go to Manage Library > Edit > Advanced and scroll all the way to bottom… Make sure ā€œEnable credits detectionā€ is ticked on.

I spoke too soon, now it is detecting Credits but for a very short time, I’ve played a episode and at the end it continued to play the credits but the screen minimized to a smaller box and next episode was available is this how it is meant to work? no prompt to skip credits like the skip intros feature?

Android TV and Apple TV yes it goes to post play ont he final credits marker ( if there are multiple) like if you had hit the back button in last 10%, But that may change in the future. If there was a skip credits button it would do the same thing on last credit marker.

There is a bug in the Android TV client were it will not let you make it full screen again if you want but that is fixed in beta which should be out soon.

I have Apple TV, before this, I would just hit the back button on the remote when the credits start then play the next episode but now hitting play during the credits is much better.
If other TV Shows don’t work like this how do I rerun the credits detection without dancing?

you analyze episodes manually or wait til the scheduled tasks gets to older items in your library.

Thanks

Should I leave these settings as is?

That sets when something is marked as watched. It won’t change where the marker is.

I am starting to watch Lucifer and the Credits are not working , I did a Plex dance and it started to detect credits and credits are working now, so why wasn’t this done during Plex maintenance?

Detection takes a while, it might not have been able to finish all things during the time frame of scheduled tasks.

It had 3 weeks to do it.
