Hello All-
When I scan my libraries PLEX says it’s scanning “TV Shows” even though I have removed that library. TV Shows isn’t listed as a section in PLEX so why does it keep saying it is scanning this folder when it has been removed?
I removed that library to revamp it and I want to re add it in the next couple of weeks but I don’t want this old data that is obviously still living in PLEX somewhere corrupting/confusing PLEX when I re add it.
Can someone please tell me how I get PLEX to stop scanning a library that isn’t there?
thx.

Do you have the Plex DVR feature activated?

Maybe what it is scanning is not the library “TV Shows” but a folder on disk, named “TV Shows”?
Check your other libraries if any of them is pointed to a folder which contains a sub-folder named “TV Shows”.

-
activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
- quit Plex Server
- wait 1 minute
- start Plex Server
- wait 5 minutes
-
fetch log files and attach them here
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
