For all versions of the server for the past 6 weeks or so, using the Plex Media Scanner.exe method to scan a single directly into my library hasn’t been functional. If a do a full library scan, it works without a hitch but I have a large library and only want to update when a new item is added. I found the automatic scanning to constantly be updating folders that are unchanged so switched to this.
I always update with a command like the one below and get a crash report which is sent to Plex but I don’t see how I can read that report in the folder. The logs even with verbose/debug turned on don’t seem to show why it crashed, just that it was scanning the folder and then a crash report sent. Any thoughts? It works fine with TV shows and I’m using the new movie agent.
