I ran into similar issues starting with 1.13.8.5395.
Then I came across this thread in the forums.
I had certain shows set to record with a resolution of HD.
To resolve the problem, I made sure that I was recording only on the HD station, and set the resolution to Any. Since then, I have not experienced any more problems.
