Scripted Update to Remote Access port

Hello,

I am trying to setup a new media server in an isolated network behind a VPN. I am currently routing ALL traffic over this vpn from my network, and have the ability to forward a port inbound to provide remote access to Plex. The trouble is that this port is dynamic and changes whenever the VPN connection is reset. When the port changes, the port number is copied into a text file that can be read by a script.

My question is: Is it possible to write a script that will update the manually configured Remote Access port in Plex and apply it so that remote access is restored after a port change?
