Scrub bar behavior on rewind and fast forwartd

I have recently moved from Roku to Android TV and I love it, for the most part. One annoyance is that when you click left or right on the dpad it rewinds by 10 seconds without showing the scrubber.

Expected Behavior: When clicking left or right on the dpad of the remote the scrubber should show and be focused and we should be able to go forward and backward on the scrub bar. The rewind and fast forward buttons can remain +10 and -10 respectively or, more accurately, they should increase the decrease the play back spead 2x, 3x, 5x increments.

Can we please support this behavior?
