Search Bar not Showing in all Screens

Web Client Version#: 4.8.4

Hello,

Did they remove the search bar from all screens in the web client? I noticed that if I view my library by date added there is no search bar, but if i change the view by title, there is a search bar.

Is this a bug in my server/ client, or a feature they removed/ changed? I did try it in different browsers and systems, all the same.

What browser are you using and on what OS?

What version of PMS do you have installed?

What kind of Plex Library does this happen on?

Can you post a screenshot of the browser when the search box goes missing?

When you say “search bar,” do you mean this:

or this:

If it’s the first, I’d say something’s broken. If it’s the second, it’s normal. It doesn’t appear when you’ve sorted the library by ‘date added’ because the letters don’t mean anything when the library is sorted by date. This isn’t a change - it has always been this way.

Browsers = Google Chrome78.0.3904.70 (Official Build) (64-bit) [Default Browser] + Firefox 70.0 (64-bit)
OS = Windows 10 1903 (All latest updates)
PMS = 1.18.1944-f2cae8d6b

This happened only in the Movie library. It did not happen in my TV library. Now it does not show on any view. (See screenshots) All I did was restart the system I am accessing the web client from. No updates were installed.

I do remember being able to use the search bar in the Date Added view because this is my default view for viewing my library.

Do you have any ad-blockers, etc installed as add-ons?

Open a new window in Chrome in Incognito mode and see if you still see the issue.

If you do, you may need to go to Settings / Player / Debug and use Restore Defaults (note the warning when doing so) to restore the view properly.
