Library bar (thus folder view) gone on Fire-TV Plex

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: 8.1.0.17967 (3dbad729)

For some reason I no longer have the Library bar on my Amazon Fire TV Plex. All I have in the Library view is “Recommended”, “Library”, and “Collections”. No way to sort or change the view

. What have I done wrong?

I have the same problem on Nvidea Shield. No folder-option and no library bar.
4 days ago it suddenly changed.

Yeah it started for me around the same time - could have been as long ago as a week but it makes it impossible to use from the remote control.

Bump this please - it’s unusable. This is affecting at least two platforms and probably more.

I’m having the same problem, anyone have a solution? I’m going to have to abandon the app otherwise. Is there a way for me express my frustration to Plex directly?

same problems in both Firestick TV and Nvidia Shield TV Pro. No the same problem in Windows Plex app or Plex Web App and not any customization about Library Bar, alphabetic list on left side. Not actors icon inside a film schedule… Everythings is changed with the last update. Need help

Use Emby, but before you do that - uninstall the app - then re-install it.
It’s VERY common for only about 80% of that app to make it on the first try.
Maybe try for 100% on the next install.

It also may be of some benefit to travel to:
FireTV/Settings (the main FireTV Settings)/Manage Applications:
Find Plex and Clear it’s cache (not it’s Data).
Upon re-entry, check to see if all the buttons are there - if not re-install the app.

I have FireTV (V-1 box) and all the buttons are there for me.
I got lucky - I guess.

nope… disintall and reinstall (firestick 4k and nvidia shield tv pro) and it’s same, no library bar.

Try updating to a more recent PMS release.

Similar issue w/ Android mobile, and updating to current PMS release resolved things:

Updated server to 1.19.4.2902, force stopped the app. Boom. All working again. Thanks!

Thanks - but it didn’t help. Also Emby is fugly and .net - I don’t want to encourage that sort of behaviour.
