Is there a way to find out what “movie” Plex has associated with a video file? I added a new movie, but it hasn’t shown up in the library so I am assuming it has been associated with something else that already existed in the library but I have no idea what.

And if what @OttoKerner said doesn’t work for you, you could also switch to folder view, browse to the folder where the movie is located, and then see what it ended up matching as.
Also, as a last resort, you could install ExportTools, export in level 5 and then use the output to see if it was matched as something else.
