Plex has been pretty good about finding where media is available, however while doing a lookup I found that search is now only searching my library and not consulting imdb/tvdb/whatever to know about content I currently do not have in my library. How can I get search to search across these sources so I can figure out what streaming service something is hosted on?
You have to enable More Ways Watch in search settings ( option on right of search field) . if you don’t see it make sure it’s enabled in Online Media Source settings

Well, it seems to have fixed itself with no configuration intervention. Can you please provide clearer feedback when external services can’t be hit (I’m assuming y’all were impacted by the internet outages today) so it’s clear when things are broken on your end vs. misconfiguration
