Searching my audio database Genres/Artists/Album

Hi I am new with Plex and don’t know if it is in the right forum that I ask my question.
I would like to know if it is possible to select an album genres (for example Pop) and them have all the artists that have albums corresponding to this genre? Then I would like to be able to click on the artist and have only the albums from this artists with the right genre.
I haven’t foud how to do it and don’t know if it is possible.
Thanks

You can quite easily filter your library by various parameters, e.g. genres. For music, this works both on the artist as well as album level.

Artists

  1. Set the display type to Artists
  2. Select the Genre filter
  3. Select a Genre

Albums

  1. Set the display type to Albums
  2. Select the Genre filter
  3. Select a Genre

You find that same schema across (almost?) all Plex clients.

Thanks a lot.
I knew that we can select the genre for artists or albums. But what I would like to do is to select the genre of an album but then have only a list of artists (not albums) that have albums with this genre. And then select one artist and see only the albums from this artist with the specified genre.
This was possible in itunes before Catalina.

Same same

  1. Set the library to Artists view
  2. Select Custom Filter

  3. Select Album Genre as filter and Pop as the actual value and click Apply

If you click Save, this will create a smart playlist that will automatically update when you add new albums matching that criteria.

Edit: then again… this will only show artists that have albums of that genre. If you open an artist, all their albums will show – even those that don’t match that same criteria.
