Seasonal and Event Hubs?

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3766

(Hubs) Seasonal and Event based hubs (Generated locally. Can be toggled in Library settings)

Can’t find the settings for these. Is this hidden behind a flag?

I really hate when crap like this is pushed on us. Should NEVER be enabled by default. If someone wants it then they can enable. Not if you don’t want it then you need to figure out how to disable.

I too cannot find any setting to disable this and hope it arrives soon.

It will vanish from your home page if you disable ‘Manage Home Automatically’.

It will still be visible if you go to the ‘Recommended’ tab of your movie library though.

@OttoKerner… Thanks ! I appreciate the Seasonal Hubs. Couple questions…

I had one hub show up for Christmas movies, and one hub for Christmas music.

I then reset my home screen, repinned my libraries, and I am now seeing two Christmas movie hubs and no Christmas music hub.

Thoughts?

I have seen the duplicate Xmas hubs here as well, as I have pinned 2 “movie”-type libraries myself.

I’m not sure about the Xmas music hub, though. I haven’t seen that over here (admittedly, I don’t have any pure xmas albums on my server, but only some tracks dotted here and here).
I will have to ask about that.
Are you sure you’re not simply misremembering the second movie-type hub?

So that’s on the client right ? If so then this would need to be done on all clients ? What an absolute pain! We should be able to disable at the server level.

BTW… Trying to delete this via the roku hub causes the app to crash. Grrrrr…

  1. Settings -> [Servername] -> Settings -> Library
  2. Show Advanced
  3. Show Curated Recommendations

I swear that setting didn’t appear when I first updated to 1.21.1.3759, but I probably just missed it.

Did that actually remove it for you? Didn’t for me when I set it to disabled. I still needed to remove it from the the client.

Yes, it did. I just tested again, too.

You do have to refresh the web app, or force the client to refresh.

It’s only the one setting. You might have to close and open the app so it refreshes itself. which app is it not going away?
