So I saw in another thread that this is feature
Security Alert
Another device is attempting to sign in using your Plex account. You should only continue if you know this device and intend to grant it access.
I can’t tell you what the IP or location was because I went ahead and logged in.
Everything seems fine, but it concerns me because the IP/location was from China or what not.
Just looking for clarification of what exactly happened here. Did the attempt get Blocked because of location? Did it actually have the right credentials?
Wish there was a place that explained this whole event in more detail.

This question may pop up if another device or software tries to sign in to your account.
You should not blindly allow it, but only if you (re-)installed another software which ties into your Plex account like another Plex client or some 3rd party software like WebTools or Tautulli and the like.
You can see and remove all devices signed into your accout here:
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/all
(Don’t remove your server, or you may have to perform this procedure:
https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/ )
Thanks, ya I was pretty much aware of all that.
It’s great Plex added the awareness of the attempt, it would be way more awesome to know, what, why, where …
I.E, I also have Tautili, but neither in it’s logs or Plex’s no IP / Login attempts, nothing.
I know after the fact that Tautili can log IP and didn’t have something checked, but also then turns on passwords and what not which adds further potential security concerns. The additional information should really be reported by Plex who reports the error.
My ask is that Plex adds way more information than that alert, after all if it knows about that unauthorized attempt, it must also know lots more which would be helpful for everyone to display it, or at least log it!
Thanks
