Security of data when streaming to other users

I have a lot of friends who have access to my library via plex’s friend system. How secure is my other data on internal drives? With the port open and then having access to the library, is there any way for a friend or anybody else with access to see other documents or download other files? Some are very astute programmers.

As long as these files are
a) not within the folder path that is added to a plex library
b) are not ‘media’ files supported by Plex

they cannot be accessed through Plex.

Thanks for the reply, but I do not mean through Plex. I’m talking about the act of allowing access to my library. They would probably be able to find out my IP from the place they’re streaming, plus the port is open. They wouldn’t be able to connect via any other means and download any of my data?

The open port is occupied by Plex Server. So all they can do is contact Plex Server.

Never mind… Stupid question…
