DSM 7 forced a complete architecture & implementation change on us.

If you still have the “Plex” shared folder, with “Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server” still in it, I can guarantee we can keep what you had on DSM 6.
Do you remember if you used the Package Center version (1.21.0.3744) ?
Also, do you remember if you hit the ‘Repair’ button because the DSM 6 Plex app was installed during the upgrade ?
FWIW, 1.24.5 is available in both DSM 6 and DSM 7 forms.
DSM 6 packages are listed as “Synology” because they also support some versions of DSM 5.2.
DSM 7 packages are listed in the dropdown as “Synology (DSM7)”
