Recently TV Shows that played last week no longer play on Roku(s). Two different Rokus exhibit the same problem. Error displayed is “Unable to play. Direct play is disabled”

these are from DVD, not DVR
tried on two different Plex Servers. Same issue.
shows play fine on Android tablet
shows play fine on Windows PC using Plex Player
Direct Play was set to auto. Changed to Forced and Disable. No difference.
You don’t want transcoding ‘Disabled’. The transcoder must be allowed to work when it has to. Make sure that setting allows the transcoder to work - and I don’t want any confusion if our languages don’t come together here.
The transcoder must be allowed to transcode.
Once you make sure the transcoder can work if it has to - if that doesn’t fix the problem, enable or disable Hardware transcoding to see if that makes any difference. One at a time I would suggest.
