Series Specials - On Deck is correct but Post Play is wrong

When you have a “Season 00” or “Specials” folder in a TV series, On Deck correctly shows the proper next episode, according to air date. After playing that episode, the post play screen wants to play the S01E01 episode as the next up item. I think play list for the post-play screen is generated automatically by the server, as it seems to affect all of the apps I tried it on (PlexWeb, Roku, Android TV)

When you back out of the post-play screen and return to the home page on the apps, the correct episode is shown in the “On Deck” section according to air date.

Any chances we can get someone to look at the way the post-play generated list considers the air date as well as season/episode? I understand that some series are sorted by DVD order, which might affect the logic required, but I’m sure the devs can come up with something that works for all :wink:

EDIT: it also works incorrectly the other way around, “Special” episodes are not displayed in the post play screen where the should be. Example: S00E05 should play after S02E10, but the play list shows S02E11.

Also funny that the closest we get to an official response was on July 31, 2017

but the default auto-play option for all apps is to auto-play the next episode, which more or less, promotes binge watching. (I actually turn that off immediately after every update)

LOL - I did a search for “On Deck” and “Specials” before I posted and quit looking too closely after the first 40 or 50 results described how to to create a season 00, and how it showed up on deck properly each time, which wasn’t my problem.
